Toyota RAV4 replacing windshield reserve container

My 2005 Toyota RAV4 windshield reservoir container is leaking, just runs right out, completely.

I do most of my own work and started looking how to get to it. A mechanic I have used on occasion says to get to it you have to remove the bumper then the headlight assembly. He would charge me $250 including the part which the dealer wants $80.

Is the bumper necessary for access? Is this a fair price?

Just to let you know....I have a 2014 Rav4 and it takes 5 minutes at best to take off the front bumper nose cone and 5 minutes to put it back on for the first time. After that first time it takes 3 minutes to take it off and 3 minutes to put it back on. Add 10 mins for the light. That guy was mak'in some PROFIT. Go to Youtube and watch a video and expect you may have to go to Toyota for a fastener clip or two if you break a clip. Order the part on the online Toyota discount sites and I bet you can get it for $60-65 delivered.

The reservoir on my 2004 Rav4 leaks, too. I think there is a seam in the tank about 1/4 up that is leaking. My reservoir will hold a little WW fluid. When I looked at the job, the bumper has to come off. I don't get along well with plastic clips and I'm not good with body work. Post back if you do the job and let us know how it went.
