Toyota oil filter

My Ranger with the 3.0 V6 specs a Napa Gold 1516 filter. I've always liked the oem toyota filters, built good but some do not like them due to their low efficiency. I can buy the Toyota 90915-YZZD3 at wal mart, it crosses to a Napa 1348 filter, but the YZZD3 is the same length as the 1516 and otherwise seems the same. Would it be ok to use this filter on the Ranger?

Yep. I usually run the Toyota filter on our FJ. Right now I am using the 1516. So I went the opposite way you went.
