Toyota 0w20 SN in a Honda

The M1 0w20 has a lower MRV @ -40 degrees, but the Toyota oil is about 35% lighter at 32F. You can really notice it in this engine.

Now hold on. Are you saying that Toyo 0-20 is actually 1/3 thinner, or is this just in the way an oil vis is measured? Your 1/3 figure may just be on paper but in reality not noticeable to the human eye in the way it actually flows.

There's no time/space continuum that makes simple physical principles disappear in the "real world". 30% lighter is 30% lighter--it really is as simple as that. I can tell you that it's very noticeable when pouring the Toyota 0W20 out of the bottle (or even when just shaking the bottle).

Really noticeable? And I thought M1 0-20 was noticeable easier sloshing than 10-30. I guess it's the way the oil is formulated to flow at differant temps.

LOL it's like water. Lightest oil I've used and it's clearly noticeable. Wish I had an OP gauge. That would tell me more.

If you're trying to squeeze a few more HP or MPG out of your car, try TGMO 0w20.
 
i'm using it in my 09' civic, and i can tell you it's the best yet. i had some valve train noise using any 5w20. the toyota spec has all but silenced it. none better out there unless your using Sustina.
 
I recently replaced my FF with TGMO 0W-20 SM. Look in the VOA/UOA forums.

I'm now averaging 30.2 MPG and the engine purrs like a kitten at all RPM's and temperature.

Very happy with the Toyota oil in my Honda.
 
This is what is going into my Son's new Mazda3 at 2000km, already have it waiting. Going to go with the blend in the G6 again soon and the G5 when it's due.

For me to say it's noticibly thinner wouldn't hold much weight as I'm used to pooring 0 or 5w30, been a while since I did one of my buddies Hondas with 5w20.
