Hey guys,

So I have a 2005 Sierra with a 4L80E. Its had a leak that I recently fixed and I have a question about the transmission fluid I used.
It's Called Multi vehicle low viscosity (mv lv) by Total Energies. I've used it on my Honda accord but it says to meet the requirements of Honda DW-1. For Dex 6 It simply says suitable for...

should I be running something else? also I get the fluid near free through work.

All the specifications listed on that container essentially mean the same thing regardless of the heading. Asian manufacturers do not license their products.

It's definitely good at reducing shudder

You can use it with no problem

The real surprise is that you actually found a Total product on the shelf! Even though Total is a supermajor, they have minimal to no presence in the US

No, it's not. Total is not part of Exxon Mobil but they're a very reputable company (much more prominent in Europe than in the US).

Went to open a jug of their 10W-30 conventional for some mowers and right on the top it had the same exact shiny metal seal with mobil written on it (only one I ever saw with that seal). Exact same seal you'd find on every mobil / mobil 1 product. Same parent company.

the one container I opened had mobil written on the seal just like any mobil 1 or mobil product. haven't seen it since but must be coming from the same place for that to happen

Guessing Total use the same botteling plant / bottle supplier as Exxon for North.A
Two very different companies, that does cooperate & partner in some circumstances.
