Toro straight shaft trimmer head at Lowe’s

$29 which seems almost too good to be true. From what I’ve read elsewhere it’s supposedly compatible with trimmer + interchangeable attachments. I ordered two of them so I’ll know for certain on Friday. I find the straight head trimmers much more comfortable to use than the curved ones most new trimmers come with.

I have the toro 60v but its not the power head system.. just regular trimmer.. works great.

This part should come standard when you bought a compatible top-motor trimmer. There are other attachments sold separately such as tillers and chain saws. There is a rotating shaft from the top to the bottom which detaches in the middle to change attachments.

The smaller electric trimmers have the motor at the bottom and only work as trimmers. It has a straight shaft but bottom motor. They are slightly more tiring to use than top motor because the weight distribution is not as good.

I don’t have the Toro power head but I have a gas trimmer with interchangeable attachments. Everything I’ve read says I should be able to use these with Ryobi, Husqvarna, etc. gas power heads. It looks like the normal Trimmer+ attachment in the photo.

interesting I have a nothing special 28cc craftsman gas trimmer that could certainly use a fresh trimmer head.. but I use it about 4x a year now.. and 2x with the edger head.
