$60 a jug isn't cheap, at least not in my opinion.
Walmart often sells Mobil1 for $35 Canadian.
Not compared to valvoline or the like. Compared to HPL and amsoil it’s not bad. Cheaper than schaeffers and about the same as HPS.

In what way do you consider it superior to Mobil 1 ESP at Walmart for $27?
I’m not going to have a standoff on this. Go to torcousa.com and read up on it. Why you come after posters who are trying to have a sensible discussion is beyond me. It’s a small batch oil that meets all the specs my car requires. Enough said. I’m not trying to sell it to you.

I thought my question was a sensible one given you were discussing price.

No standoff, no selling and not “coming after” anyone. We are all just posting in the same thread. Not one thing I said was untrue nor an exaggeration and I’ve only referenced the information the blender themselves publish.

What info from torco are you referencing? I see nothing but transparency from the info they give.

On the PDS they state one blend is suitable for manufacturer approvals that cannot be met simultaneously. Plus they use the dexos licensing logo but it is not licensed. This was discussed earlier in the thread.

To me, and maybe I’m different about this, but when a blender makes incorrect statements about their products I tend to discount anything else they may say. There is another similar brand that does the same thing. I’m not generically opposed to “meets” or “suitable for” but that needs to be backed up with integrity and from what I see here they are lacking in that area.

But maybe I’m too picky. It’s just that for a whole lot less money I can get an oil that does have verifiable approvals and licenses.

SX-8 shows up on the GM website for being dexos gen 2, for 0-20, 5-20 and 5-30. Only the 5-30 shows up for gen3. Sr1 is a no go and I don’t see that they’ve ever said otherwise. Kind of like royal purple and their Hps versus their store shelf line. I’m not seeing where they were less than honest? And surely not some fly by night company that starts with a “T”. It’s not cheap compared to grabbing a jug of Quaker state, but isn’t rebottled ultra lube. At least I don’t think.

You are correct and I apologize. When I looked back in 2023 when this thread started, it was not there.

Thanks for the correction.
