That is odd that I will type-in GC 0W-30... even just GC - then highlight the used oil analysis Forum - then see no hits for it. Something is wrong there with the search feature - since I know some folks have turned-in GC used oil analysis here.

The search engine here has never worked correctly since I've joined this forum. For a tool this useful to use and it does not work,it's a shame.

It seems as if the search feature of this forum (and in the software versions they've used in the past) won't "AND" multiple keywords, and won't bother with keywords shorter than 3 characters. Shame, because pretty much any other forum software will let you choose AND or OR as your search logic.

I've sometimes had good luck using wildcards. If you type "gc*" into the search blank, that will help, but only if it was part of a string like "GC0W30" or something like that.

Best plan might just be to wander into the used oil analysis section and look for threads that mention it. The most recent used oil analysis I've found about GC looked okay.

Happy hunting...

out of the three you listed I would say whichever you could get on a regular basis easily.

I was going to recommend Rotella 5W40 as well. $16/gallon here at the walmart

With all due respect, the search works fine. You just need to know how to present the right logic, timeframe, etc. to it.

It works ..but is more cumbersome than most that I use on other forums.

Finding this thread took finding a quotable quote referenced in another thread. It never showed up with the 2 page limit that appears to be in place ..even with swapping the years around (progressively backing up). I had to find "Doctor Shirley Schwartz" to get there. I'll try and manage to remember [censored] for the future when the GM OLM comes up in discussion.
