Is there such a thing as too much zinc (presumably in the form of ZDDP) in a motor oil that will NOT be used in an engine with a catalytic converter? Some of these Lucas oils - and not motorcycle oil - ( http://www.lucasoil.com/images/medialibrary/Zinc_Values_MotorcycleOil.pdf ) have what appears to be massive amounts of the stuff, on the order of 3,100 (and even more) PPM.

Too much ZDDP is actually corrosive. I believe excess of 1800-2000 ppm is around the threshold. Lucas makes lots of junk to make money, no wonder they put too much zinc in something.
dang! you could add 1 qt of some of those ois to 4 qts of city star and have plenty of antiwear stuff lol.
Buy a high quality motor oil spec'ed for your engine/climate and let them worry about the exact mix of additives.
Interesting, you could spike a sump with a cup of some of that stuff and do well.
