Toilet Wax Rings ?

You cannot mess with the wax ring. Once you set it, you have to get a new one. Just mentioning that. You just set the ring center on the hole and carefully set the the toilet over the bolts. If the flange is lower than the floor serface, than you might need a larger ring of double up on the wax.If the toilet rocks, make sure that the toilet flange is not higher than the floor.

I believe that sealing the toilet with caulk like that is against code in some places as well.
