I like both Tirerack and Discount. When I had the BMW, the cheapest appropriate tire was a Kumho product. I liked the Ma and Pa place that mounted them.

My car takes a weird size and neither Tirerack nor Discount had the exact right tire. Discount swore a slightly different size would be fine. It was, but why should I take that risk when Discount would undertake that risk?

I have found tirerack's recommended installer to be a good tool. And the prices listed is helpful. Although, in some cases, the prices are only good if you bought the tires from tirerack. Some installers are really cheap in my area, in some cases less than 10 bucks to mount and balance a 60 series tires.
