Tired of tearing mower apart

I have a power washer with a small B&S motor. The carb sits on top of the tank and there is a small pickup well there for the final fuel pickup point. This gets water in it and cause rough running and bogging down. PITA as the governor springs and other linkage all has to come off to dump the water out.

There must be water or dirt in the fuel that keeps getting into the carb. Remove the gas tank from the mower, dump it and clean it out. Then check your gas can.

Like Smokey liked to say. You put a little fuel with a little air in the right proportion, supply ignition at the right time and you can't keep em from running.

+1. Ive never had such an issue. I purposely bought a flathead cheapo mower when I got one so I could burn whatever junk I had, including leftover two cycle mix at the end of the season. Never had an issue, but I keep mine in a shed.
