Tire suggestions

I was really disappointed with the Latitudes. I put them on to replace the Cross Terrains which were excellent tires. They were quiet, worked well in the rain and lasted about 90K miles. This lead me to believe that since they were discontinued the Latitudes would be at least as good. That was a mistake. They wore unevenly and one was replaced because of defects along with one that could not be repaired after a simple nail hole in the tread that split the tread. At 30K miles one tire was worn below safe tread depth and one had wear at 12 o'clock and almost no wear at 6 o'clock. And these were expensive tires, too. The tire store was good about working with the problems but I'm done with Michelin's at least for my 4Runner.

Good choice OneEyeJack. I'm with you on the Latitudes. They were horrible as OE tires on my Jeep. I've also had Cross-Terrains on another SUV, and they were 10X better than Latitudes. My Latitudes were down to 5/32nds at 23K. I replaced them last Fall with Cooper AT/3s, and have been happy ever since.

Apparently, he'll be able to share some first hand regret, when they turn into a white knuckle experience at 6/32"...
