Tire Rack -- Be careful

You must be a liberal. My money is my money. and how I use it is my discretion. oh, local shops order from TR too. They deliver next day. and it's NOT a collectable car. It's my wife's car, and she drives maybe 3000-4000 miles annually. So The tires age out before the tread wears out. You can't seem to understand that. Your logic you already lost 20%-33% of your tire life due to age.
Someone doesn’t know what is liberal. That is what I got from this thread.

Total overreaction. Tires stored correctly inside/climate controlled will still "age out" based on their in-service date.
Generally true, but not for collector cars. Mine sees pavement a couple times a year, and stored in a climate controlled garage the remaining time. Yet I replace the tires every 8 years (and pretty much every manufacturer I know says 10 years max).

Sometimes the rarity of the car and the rarity of the original/period tires on that car are very valuable and important. I have seen 75+ year old museum pieces still rolling on original tires. I've even seen some older collectible race cars doing "parade" laps on original race rubber. But I'm pretty sure they have an extra set or two of newer tires if the car is going to be toured or lapped at an event. It's surprising how durable (and serviceable?) some tires remain when properly maintained.

Absolutely! I have seen a couple C1 and C2 corvettes like that. But i would not feel safe on highway with those tires

Having used TR in the past I'd say 3 out of 5 star in review. Cust service should there be issues isn't stellar.

I've found Tires-easy to be a better first online stop before TR.
