Time for the X-mas commercials

Now Halloween is over, we should be seeing the TV commercials for all of the junk products.

Salad Shooter, Chia Pet, Clapper, Remember the Snake Light?

Anybody think of any others?

(I shouldn't say "junk" products... just products that are only worth advertising when people are just fresh out of good gift ideas.)

That's what you get in a year without political commercials.

Years with political spots, the regular advertisers take a few weeks off in October then blitz us after the first tuesday in November. Helpful that November's ratings period, early sunset, and chilly weather mean viewers galore.

We've got a radio station here that has already started playing Christmas music. I'd like to reach through the radio and strangle them. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but they're cheapening the holiday IMHO. I wish they would wait at least until Thanksgiving. I'd be fine with that.

A few years ago, they were heavily advertising the "Swiffer" just before Christmas.

Your wife will love you so much when you get her a cleaning product for Christmas
