I have a 1985 ford ranger i recently lifted it 4inchs and I put all new tie rods and pitman arm in there when I went to align the passenger side the tie rods hit each other in the sleeve and I can't adjust the tire in anymore is there any fix for this did I do somthing wrong?

So here's a picture of the passenger side sleeve the driver side has plenty more room for adjustment im not sure if my pitman arm is correct the wheels are straight but my steering wheel is sitting wierd

Nothing looks wierd ive ran it lock to lock the only problem is since I can't get that passenger side to go in any more I had to set it up in a way that the wheel is sideways when I drive

So, what did you change? The pitman arm, drag link, tie rod, and ends.

I'm suspicious that the pitman arm (aftermarket, obviously, for the lift) is off a spline or otherwise wrong. Yes there should be only one way of fitting it up.

If you have enough thread engagement on the other side, you can grind/ cut the offending side so it's shorter, but that's a hack.

If you drive in a circle counter-clockwise then repeat going clockwise, do you use the same diameter?

I do the same diameter going both ways the only thing is my wheel dosent sit straight and I have replace all of the steering besides the steering box and the steering wheel shaft the pitman arm is was curious how people's sit when there 85 ranger is straight to see if that arm is in the wrong angle
