Looks much better 100 years ago. I see Chevrolet big and bold but don't see Ford anywhere. I'm mainly thinking about going to Delmonico's for a steak though.I guess road construction is not a new thing........
Here is a 1920s photo of Route 66 at Kings highway and Manchester looking north in St. Louis, Missouri. It is hard to believe that we are looking at a photo that is almost 100 years old. There is so much to see in old photos like this. Amazed how the Chevrolet "bow tie" and the Ford "oval" have remained very close today, as to what they looked like 100 years ago.
Also is a photo of the same spot today.
This photo is courtesy of Joe Sonderman. This is a photo from the Lemens Collection.

The Ford oval was in the prior picture from Fairfield, Montana. To see the oval requires a deep look.Looks much better 100 years ago. I see Chevrolet big and bold but don't see Ford anywhere. I'm mainly thinking about going to Delmonico's for a steak though.
You kinda look like my dad when he was younger lol.
Wholesome? This 1939 photo of farmers in town. It has a feel of just a simple and wholesome life in America.
This photo was photographed in 1939 by Arthur Rothstein in Fairfield, Montana.

Ah, being a child of the late 70's/early 80's...that's how we rolled. I had one of those 'big wheels'...would do power slides around the trailer park where we lived.

Sad but very true. Automechanic eats anything if it’s free or B. He has to beg
