I use 0w40 in Z3 with the M52TUB25
5w40 in E46 330i with M54B30
And a mix of 1:2 with 5w50/10w60 in M3 V8

Since they're MT cars, use MTL
Also their rear diff fluids

If it is true that the higher moly, ZDP and ester content help mitigate LSPI issues, than Red Line could very well be a top choice for GDI engines. The low Noack and high solvency could really be beneficial.



This is the issue when calcium is reduced LPSI is reduced. Molybdenum and ZDDP can counter LPSI if calcium if high. It turns into a circular solution.
