Scared some clays at a friend's club a few weeks ago. It was a wet day and I forgot to bring any oil so I stopped by a very small gun shop on the way back. All they had on hand was Clenzoil. Used it for a quick wipe down and it seemed fine; pungent odor and it seemed to protect well enough.

Anyone have any experience w/ it?

My usual oil routine on the o/u's is generally the basic Outers gun oil on the metal w/ Tri-Flo or similar on moving parts.

wings,

I don't know anything about that oiil but if you bought it in a gun shop then rest assured it did it's job for you. Any oil that acts as a barrier against the elements is fine regardless of the brand.

For more info you might do some web browsing to get more info on the product. My only observation though is why any club buddies can't/didn't have any oil and a wipe cloth to help you??? What kind of club is that???

I read a few positive postings on the web and, of course, the marketing spin, but this is my 'go-to' forum for real world experience.

my friend and i were both running late for family commitments (they get in the way of hobbies) and we both just jumped in our cars...only other folks there took the field right after we were done.
