My 252k 2013 Honda Civic is being totaled out, but the engine still runs great along with the transmission being pristine. Sad to see it go.
Yes, but marketplace is filled with these at $2k-$3k and in need of an engine replacement or rebuild due to issues outlined above. Nice to see one actually taken care of properly, and 15W-40 is just a nice bonus for HDEO fans like meIt's a Honda.![]()
Okay you talked me into it.Yes, but marketplace is filled with these at $2k-$3k and in need of an engine replacement or rebuild due to issues outlined above. Nice to see one actually taken care of properly, and 15W-40 is just a nice bonus for HDEO fans like me![]()
NICE! Original factory paint? Asking because I am wondering if you have the same auto detailing obsession I once had and you constantly washed and waxed and buffed that paint or........? Did you store that car inside a garage, under a carport or under a car cover for that paint to still look so good. Silver paint is usually one of the toughest colors to maintain. Especially if left out in the sun too much. So, how on earth do you own a 2003 , silver car that is looking that good in 2025? What is your secret? I really do not think it is a re-paint.My 2003 Corolla bought new and use Mobil 1 since new. Now has just over 780,000 km on it. Original engine, trans, clutch and starter.

Which was do you use? Regular paste wax, liquid wax or the ceramic products? Your car paint looks very good.Good wax applied every 45 days, and Rust Check or Krown undercoating is the secret.
OH, and, except for the front clip, original paint. Front clip was replaced by a deer.
I remember you being a user of M1, you always used that brand? Also what maintenance for coolant, ATF, etc?Total mileage for both of my Ford Fusions is 500K miles all with M1 oils and 10K OCIs.
What engine in those fusions?Total mileage for both of my Ford Fusions is 500K miles all with M1 oils and 10K OCIs.
2002 Camry 3.0 with 236,000 milesI'm posting this in this section instead of the General section because it definitely has a lot to do with lubrication.
I just wanted to see how many people here have over 150,000 miles on their original engines, to see what kind of oil you've been using and what kind of intervals.
We talk about a lot of different oils on here, and critique a lot of UOAs, but the absolute best way to find out if any particular routine works, is to look at those people who have had success with it by getting long life from their engine! That is truly what we are all trying to achieve here.
So if you've owned your car since new (or at least know the exact prior history of it from new), please step in and give us your input!
I think this could be a very interesting topic!
