It may not be around much longer as I can't find any reference to SLX on Castrol's German or Australian web sites. They make reference to the 0W-40 and 10W-60 for full synthetics. The 0W-40 has the same HTHS @ 3.6 as GC and the viscosity at 100 = 12.9 whereas GC is 12.2, so it seems like the 0w30 may have been replaced.

Like I said

They sent their discount shelf stuff here.

gl.......,

He's not going to get off THAT easy!

I'm afraid the Elves have already gathered in one of the highest turrets of the Berg Eltz (Eltz Castle) and are discussing his punishment (they are ususally merciful, but this IS a serious offense).

glxpassat, mind your words, you will only anger them futher by insinuating that they make anything but the finest of the green elixir.

Knock off the elf chat and get the donations going.....weak is the word...

PS Ever since the movie ELF I must admit I think a certain Elf nut looks like the actor elf guy and eats spaghetti with maple syrup.

Please give and we can really have some interesting sugar plum fairies to discuss.

Ever since watching that movie I've started saying "Son of a Nutcracker!"

I like how they mention there are only three jobs an elf can have,

Shoemaker for the old Cobbler
Keebler elf
Santa's workshop

Original quote was from 400 to 700 max. I guess the leftover will be used for another study. Still amazing to me that much was raised. Maybe the results should be in next week. Maybe we can do a study on why they pay the Seahawk receivers money to act like defensive backs. They would be great at knocking balls down instead of catching them.

But I guess this is a trend, they must be watching films of the Raven's wide receivers.

...and Pat, as I have made clear to everyone...that is SO WRONG!

Bad news for everyone. The elves have jumped ship. They have all left Castrol and have started their own business:

www2.elf.de/de.de/

This would explain the sudden dissappearance of 0w30 from the Castrol line-up in Germany.
grin.gif

Castrol is now in Ireland attempting to catch leprechauns to make the green elixor. While the formula may change a bit with the new employees, the "wearing o' the green" is here to stay.

59 Vetteman,

I also would like to know. I do not have a means to donate by e-mail (PayPal), but if you PM me with an address, I will be more than happy to send a donation towards this worthy cause.

medic,

I have asked them over and over not to do this to people, especially members of BITOG...they pull this gag all the time...trust me they are Deutsch to the core, except for their fondness for Sauce Bernaise.

pscholte,

Ask the elves if they like Steak Diane. If they do, they're welcome over to my place for dinner some time. If we plan ahead, I probably can get them laid too.
