Wix makes great filters. I love the fact that they specifically mention good flow characteristics as one of the main benefits of their filters. As Toyota Engineers have found out over the years, optimal oil flow is one of the most important factors in engine reliability and longevity.
I decided to go with the TRD filter in my Tundra instead of the Toyota OEM filter, and it sure looks like the TRD filter is a Wix made filter. Here's some pics of the difference between the 2 filters:
TRD filters are nice, and made by Fram. It seems the Amsoil graph is taking on a life of it's own, even showing what Toyota engineers think, even though it is out of date by years now.
