Picked up a gently used 2017 Mustang V6 in Colorado a couple of weeks ago, and have started making it my own. First order of business is to get rid of those tiny wheels. I know 17 isn't technically tiny....I remember when 17 was the biggest wheel option on most cars. This car just looks so much better with 19s and 20s. I opted for OEM 19s from the 2018-up Mustangs. I've always loved these wheels because of their simple, clean lines.

Factory style GT spoiler, and tint will complete the appearance changes, then its on to fluid replacement, since they've likely not been done.

Funny story, I just opted out for a set of a gently used 17" with like new tires (was too good of a deal to pass up) to go on my 2006 Toyota Camry... Yes, 17" Mustang wheels (from first OP picture) on a 2006 Toyota Camry. Will post a picture sometime later. Those 17" look too beefy on a Camry, and I had to roll the fenders. But it gets compliments, so that's nice. Some get a "Battlecars" vibe from it, since it looks like a monster truck on those 17" Mustang wheels.

That's a very nice color! And the 3.7 is no slouch.

You're right, those stock 17s and that fitment look at home on a fox body or 4th gen but they're too small for the modern cars. The 19"ers from the current Mustangs are some very good looking OEM wheels.

It works, and I'm mad about it

But 17" on a Camry isn't a stretch, that's what SE V6 cars came with before the modern 19"-21" fad started that pretty much requires you buy the tire and wheel protection package

Backspacing and sidewall can really play tricks with the eye

5 spokes look good on any car IMO, it's bulbous billet boomer monstrosities that ruined the American Racing look IMO

That spoiler will be tasteful, they look kinda bare without it IMO

I guess you're lucky in Texas. Too many potholes here, I hate 18 and 17 inch wheels. Never had a bent or cracked wheel on 16 inch wheels. Now my 40 and 45 series tires have had a few flats and about 4 cracked rims and several bent rims. And of course needing an alignment at least once a year due to the potholes.

They're plenty bad here, but not for the same reasons, and maybe not quite as bad as MA. The soil (clay) is constantly in motion here and a brand-new road will look like a stoned hippie poured it a year later. You have to have an opera singer's diaphragm to hold a conversation in a moving car here.

The fenders isn't a visually noticeable difference. But is definitely a one you can feel. The inner fender lip got rolled, so it stops catching on the tires, as it was rubbing on any sign of a pothole. May have to roll the rear some more, as it still makes contact on big bumps, or with more than 3 people in the car. But overall really like it. People compliment the wider stance, and these stock Mustang tires provide so much grip, that I am really thinking of upgrading suspension now...

Can you put in stiffer motor mounts and bushings in the yota? I really dig the look, and while it’s not a platform you typically see modded like this, I think you are on to something.

I'm sure there are kits out there, but I won't go full polyurethane bushing and stiff coilovers route. It is a baby and wife hauler afterall. If they're not comfortable in the car - they'll make my life uncomfortable everywhere else.
