The app shows 25% off in store clearance today. YMMV
I never buy oil in auto parts stores anymore. Their sales prices rarely beat WalMart which is where I buy all my oil, either in store or online. I do buy tools as needed in auto parts stores, even though I could get most of them cheaper at HF, but there's no HF near my house.Their Rotella T6 is currently on sale to a reasonable price in the 2.5 gal size. I’m pretty sure I could fit one of those in a 5 gal pail.
absolutely. this is where a HDEO thrives. high load is what it’s formulated for.would you guys confidently use this motor oil for a 5k OCI on a rebuilt engine? 1ZZ-FED
Oil Change history of the rebuilt engine:
10 miles - after the initial startup when all the fluids were added and after a short test drive.
1000 miles - break-in oil change
1700 miles - break-in oil change
2950 miles - break-in oil change
5000 miles - this is the oil change in question.
Driving conditions for the 5000 miles: severe(maybe even extreme as I drive fast and leave it in cruise control even for any long highway uphill sections) for most, if not all of the 5k miles, and it will be near southern California/Arizona region therefore the temperatures can easily be in the 90-105 range.
Same hereIt is 16.95 here
for me it keeps switching between 16.95 to 12.95 I just have to randomly keep trying...Same here
possibly I keep switching between my phone internet and Wi-Fi and different devices, super annoying as in-store it is 12.95 here in Laramie, WY.On my work computer that tunnels through St. Louis area, it come up as $12.95 was able to place the order for my local store pickup. So it is a IP location issue it is using.
Still carries the API SN Plus spec that addresses LSPI. While not as robust as API SP, I would have no problem running this in a DI engine.Good stuff for older vehicles.
Everything I service is 2014 and newer plus Di so no diesel spec oil for me.![]()
The system of record is the scanner at the register. Website and shelf labels are just suggestions.Has anyone been able to actually purchase this oil at the (now lower) clearance price? ($15)
I went to my local AA tonight. There were no clearance stickers on shelf (no surprise) but the 0W20 Truck and SUV range up for for at least $23+ (I don't remember the exact price as I did not buy it).
I initially thought it was ringing up for a non-clearance price but searching for this oil on their website suggests the regular price is $38.99 regular price. So maybe the $23+ was last week's clearance. I don't know. I just know the 0w20 wasn't $15 as the screen shot above suggests.
I downloaded the app but had no luck finding this portion with the 25% off on clearance items...even with that 25% it would still be a touch too high for me to buy any...hopefully your post helped others though...
I did get 25% off some already marked-down diehard clearance tools.I downloaded the app but had no luck finding this portion with the 25% off on clearance items...even with that 25% it would still be a touch too high for me to buy any...hopefully your post helped others though...

Correct. I brought the jug up to the register and started the purchase. Once it rang up ,at the $23 (or more) price, I cancelled the order. The system of record is the scanner at the register. Website and shelf labels are just suggestions.
A few bottles of this from 2017 were SN only, but everything that arrived by delivery was 2023 stock SN+. It appears the SN+ designation change happened in 2018 for this oil.Good stuff for older vehicles.
