the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

Look like the deal has ended. Back to $39.99

Thanks to the original poster, at least I got 15. That will get me by for 2 years with my outdoor power equipment and my diesel tractor.
Thanks for the heads-up. Time for selling now that the market has corrected...

it's been nearly a month now and area stores I've checked have not lowered their price on this "clearance" Mobil 1 Truck & SUV 5W-30 at all...for their clearance price I can by Mobil 1 EP at Wally World...that's where my money will go for a Mobil 1 oil product...

good luck to all of you who have found lower prices at your stores...

Lowest I've seen at local AAP stores was $15.xx for a 5qt jug of M1 T&S 0w20 flavor. At that store all other grades of M1 T&S in 5qt were gone. I think they had 1 qt bottles but for well over $3.xx/qt. Maybe $5.xx or $7.xx each? Can't recall.

I am still curious as to why I see it ring up for 23.xx for the 0W20 when others see/saw 23.xx
I would have thought AA's pricing would be consistent across stores. Interesting

I saw one store price it at $15.xx and the other $27.xx. This was for the identical M1 T&S 0w20 5qt bottle, if I remember correctly. Seems like pricing is up to each store.

same here but it hasn't in over a month at least for the 5W-30 which is my preferred weight...I don't need any oil right now but just prefer Mobil 1 and if it went on clearance, I'd be a buyer now for sure...

The guys behind the counter at my local Advanced Auto like to hide the discount oil in the back for their buddies.
Back in 2017, Advance Auto was blowing out Idemitsu 0W-20 5qt jugs for $2.95, I went into a local Advance Auto and could see 6 jugs of it behind the counter on a shelf almost out of eyesight and asked for it. Got into a heated debate with the counter jockey because I could tell he was trying to squirrel it for himself and gave the most ******** reasons on why he would not sell it to me. The manager came up and told him to sell it to me but I could tell the manager was in on the game also.

Did you check any stores by us? Let me know and I'll also let you know if I stop by any. I have not yet.

Someone lost money on that deal. Good scoop. That’s significantly below bulk distributor pricing. Let alone package. And probably below blended costs.
Really? I think I was all-in $10.22 a gallon. Now to see how much I can sell. Two oil changes a year on my truck doesn't account for much and I had already planned to switch to Delo 600. I could use it on my wife's car, but I already have sufficient 0w-40 set aside for that purpose.
