Nothing wrong with the nylon eCore style center tube. Only issue might still be a ruffled leaf spring that doesn't allow a good seal between the leaf spring and end cap. I think the Ultras that use the eCore center tube still have metal end caps.

I highly recommend sending to WCW if you can, that would be cool.

I know in the Toyota world there's a lot of counterfeit products on Amazon. If I was to buy a couple of Premium Guard PG4612EX filters from the Premium Guard Amazon store any worries? Or is there a better place to buy them?

I've never seen them in any stores, or heard of anyone buying in a store. You could contact Premium Guard and ask about the ones on Amazon to see if they are supplied directly from Premium Guard to Amazon ... I'd think so. Could also ask if they are sold in any parts stores, etc.

FYI that Baldwin has the same efficiency at 45 micron as the PGI Premium (CQP, MGS) filters have at 15 micron.

What you say here is true. They don't do the micron race, but they do match the OEM spec micron ratings and flow as close as possible. If you are looking to match OEM specs, they work, with a quality construction. They have never entered the micron rating race.

atleast on 7th gen accords, Fram 9688 and 3593a fit. i run exclusively OG Fram Titanium FS3593a’s on both of my accords.

Do you know if they fit the 8th gen? I have a 7th and an 8th gen accord and found an amazing deal on a Carquest Premium equivalent.

With the exception of the S2000, Honda has kept the exact same oil filter design for many years. Accords, CR-Vs, Pilots... they all use the same filter.

It is NOS, part number is 84830. I called the store and they said it superseded to part number 85334, which is the same size as a Fram 9688/3593A.

Hmmm. Seems this may be a filter used on 20+-years-old Hondas. This is for part number 85334 from Carquest's own Part Information website. Here is the Part information for part number 84830. Perhaps I spoke/typed too soon. It may work, but due diligence is in order.

85334 Application Summary:

• Honda - Accord (1984-2002); Civic (1988-1997); Civic del Sol (1993-1997); CR-V (1997-2001); CRX (1988-1991); Odyssey (1995-2002); Passport (1994-2002); Prelude (1983-2001); S2000 (2000-2009)

84830 Application Summary:

• Scion - FR-S (2013)
• Subaru - BRZ (2013-2016)

For a while, way back when, Fram had a PH6811 for Honda applications. It was nicely upgraded with a silicone ADBV while maintaining a PH prefix. It may have been a transition model after the 3593A and before the 7317, but it disappeared as quick as it appeared, IIRC.
