Recently i have be noticing a quite surprising decline in the local availability of Valvoline. I used to be able to find it everywhere. I was in 3 different Canadian tire stores and could only find a handful of dusty old bottles tucked away in the corner. Walmart used to have the largest selection but today they only had very small section in the shelves. Castrol and Pennzoil have the lion share of all the shelf space. Whats going on?

Anyone else noticed it lately??

With all the adds it may be selling better.
Or there making room for Edge

I dont think its selling better....you should have seen the layer of dust on some of the bottles at C.T. I should have read the back to see what the rating was...could have been vintage for selling on ebay

Noticed this too. Less Valvoline conventional at WM, no more Valvoline Maxlife Syn at C-T, and absolutely NO Durablend anywhere - C-T, Partssource, WM...

Yeah, I noticed a scarcity of Valvoline... or maybe I'm just mentally blocking it out

Lots of Canadians because according to *every* car manufacturer manual that comes with a car sold in Canada we are categorized under 'Severe use', regardless of our driving style/habits. Add the cold winters, and well, those of us who love our cars become oil nuts pretty quick

Lots of it here. Was at CT today picking up M1 ATF. I noticed they are now carrying the blue bottle Mobil stuff, but had no Mercon V

One WM here seems lower than usual. I descided to try a HM in the Saturn and Max Life was only about $1 a jug more than regular Castrol. No jugs of 5W30 Max Life, or Castrol HM though. I ended up with bottles of Max Life. Regular Valvoline was also about $3 dollars cheaper a jug. The second WM stock seemed ok.
