The continuation of being dumped on in Restaurants needs to end.

Thorogood nails it in this 10 minute video. Raw talent. I don't know of a single entertainer today with his talent. No fancy flashing lights, no fancy dancers to distract. No fancy outfits. No autotone. George has got the goods.

Saw him play at JC Dobbs in the late 70’s. Three Chord George.

Probably for the kids so the parents can bring them along instead of finding a babysitter. They also have chicken fingers too.

During my travels I usually stay at a Marriott. In the hotel restaurant one of the best items on the menu is their Marriott burger. It’s one of the best out there. These are higher end hotels too.

Who orders burgers at a sit down restaurant? Newly opened burger place around here, $6.59 https://order.smashburger.com/menu/1718-rockville/products/53613760 and this mushroom burger is tempting https://order.smashburger.com/menu/1718-rockville/products/53616088
As you may know-I have traveled across the country. Some of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life have been in sit down restaurants. I am admittedly a burger snob. I have had a burger or two at the above mentioned place, they are on the level of Five Guys-IMHO.
Two of the best burgers I have ever had- The Pirate House Restaurant (rather famous/$14.95 burger) in Savannah, Georgia and the Beehive Grill (12.49/burger) in Logan, Utah.

Those look like some nice high end places. I can't recall spending more than $13 or $14 for a meal myself. It's not like I couldn't afford it occasionally, and I like food as much as the next guy, but would feel guilty paying $25 or $30 for something that is just as good at $10 or $12. Don't care for paying extra for "ambiance". After all, it all comes out the same in the end the next morning.

We know- we read your posts about your motel selections from WDC to Florida and back...

No surprise.

This is the ambiance you prefer…right?

Well we just finished a wonderful end of summer dinner at home. We cooked up two burgers from the local farm, home grown tomatoes, corn from the farmer and condiments on a fresh Pepperidge farm butter bun. Cost about $10.00 I'll tip the waitress/cook tonight.

IT's always cheaper to eat at home and fix your own food. That's usually a given.

Was that the early bird special? Who has dinner at 5 o'clock outside of Florida?

Me in Indiana?

Are you jealous? Inquiring minds want to know.
I have a theory, but will elaborate in a new thread in the food section. Basically, the earlier you eat dinner, the more likely you will feel hungry again before bed time and thus snack on junk food or any food for that matter. You will gain undesirable weight. The Spanish often don't have dinner before 9 or 10 pm, and few of them are overweight if you have ever visited Spain.

I get up early and go to bed early.

We had the same issue last night. We rarely eat out and had some time to take my wife out. It’s a local joint we loved in the past. The menu was one page, with the back of page being only alcohol.

The food wasn’t good at all. Like, Sams club frozen food bad. It cost double what it did a year ago.

The Stella was good though.

It’s a shame for sure.
