I used to have a work colleague that lives in Wisconsin and I thought he was an alcoholic. But he is very successful and a normal person from Wisconsin.

Called a functioning alcoholic.

This was absolutely true with the Brandy being used in the cocktail up till I bet 5 or 10 years ago now it’s mostly all whiskey being poured in the cocktail. 30 40 years ago nobody drank Whiskey in the cocktail all were poured with Brandy.
