This is the SV model. You can pick one up for around $26K. I feel Nissan did a great job on this generation. It still has the 148hp 2.0 four cylinder with a CVT. It looks like a nice place to be while commuting, it has heated seats and steering wheel, full safety suite. This is what most people need these days while driving to and from work.

I will need to go look at one some day, although I am not in the market.

Wow that is a nice looking re-do of the Sentra! I'm not a big fan of the massive center console, but that seems to be standard across the board today.
Hopefully Nissan is still carrying on with the easy to DIY fluid service on the CVT. I believe the MR20DD has been a good engine.

Until one of us parks there fat bottom in one of those seats we don't know. The overall car could be wider.
I had a 2024 or 2025 one, but I think the engine/CVT are almost identical and I liked it as well. I did about 350 miles in it all freeway.

$26k for a Sentra is insanity.
Yep, a "small" car isn't all that small anymore. I read that the 26 sentra is slightly wider inside than my 2016 Impreza which I find good for two 200-220lb 6'ers to not even come close to rubbing shoulders. I like this size of cabin space, it just needs a good size wagon cargo space behind it!

True. I think base Sentra is about $24K and is one of the least expensive cars on the market currently. Corolla is about the same price, but Sentra's interior looks much better, IMO.
Jetta is about the same price, too. Probably more fun, but reliability and resale value are not there, if that matters.

Wage erosion is the issue, not inflation.
Knowing how the value of a used Nissan plummets is another.
