I hear you! Like I said....Different environments, I don't buy/pay for 4L80E Hubs....I acquire them for free most of the time.
Correct.Checkball in drum=no checkball in piston?
If I want or need I can remove checkball in pistons and plug with a set screw?Correct.
Yes sir!If I want or need I can remove checkball in pistons and plug with a set screw?
Thanks!Yes sir!
So this is what I will use in my th400.
Deluxe rebuild kit.
https://www.amazon.com/TH400-Transmission-Deluxe-Rebuild-Level/dp/B010R0GSR6 but with scarf cut teflon seals instead
Sonnax nitrided forward clutch hub
Th400 smooth direct drum
New 34 element sprag
Spiroloc from 4l80e for the outer race
New low roller clutch
No walk bushing with bearing to rollerize the output
The pump spring from the transgo 1-2 kit
Heavy duty springs for the direct drum from same transgo 1-2 kit
HD snap ring from same transgo kit
Either the B&M plate or a modified oem plate
Going to change the bad planetarys to the new used. Use the alu pistons I bought.
Deep alu pan with gm filter tube bolt/spacer for deep pan.
Sounds like a good start?
I will try to dual feed it internal
Input shaft is little over what I think is reasonable so will use the oem. Or am I looking at wrong parts?
Alto frictions ans steels. Transtec gaskets.I don't know what to say about the rebuild kit? Who makes the frictions? Those could be Raybestos or Allomatic which I wouldn't have problem with, But if they're some no name trash from China.....I'd be concerned.
Found something strange?Yes sir!
