pretty sure Gen 1 was niMH, and gen 2 lithium both made by Envision AESC in the pouch style.

Maybe not never been much interested in the leaf.

Totally possible that my info is only partial.

The leaf never really fit in anyway for either my city or country driving so I never much bothered to pay attention.

It was a cute "city car".
