Tesla is struggling to turn Cybertruck reservations into buyers.

The Foundation Series has ended. The claimed 2,000,000 person-deep reservation list is over after selling about 30,000 vehicles. “Regular” trucks available today to anyone.

A few problems. The 340 mile range version has disappeared. Max you can get is 325 miles.

The 470+ mile range extender option is gone. Max you can get is 445 miles.

The dual motor no longer can go 0-60MPH in 3.9 sec. Now it’s 4.1.

The lies from Tesla continue…

People put in deposits for a $40k truck that was $100k. That's the problem. This shouldn't be a surprise.

Oh, I’m not “surprised” at all. I actually think the reservation list was probably closer to 200,000 than 2,000,000. The fake rumors by the Tesla fans were all stock pumps.

I'd like to say it's my least favorite thing about Tesla, but my least favorite is the the Full Self Driving lies. I like the cars(minus the Cybertruck), but they make it really hard to want to give them any business.

I really wish the Government and SEC would raid Teslas offices as I don't think there ever were 2 million deposits for this dumpster fire. Tesla and Musk said back in March that they'd continue to make foundation series Cybertrucks if the demand was there.

Here's why this is weird and wouldn't surprise me. When Musk claimed 2 million deposits back in December 2023 a number of people on several Tesla forums even noted that they didn't know a single person with a deposit for a Cybertruck. This made me really take note. If there were two million deposits why didn't a single Tesla owner on a Tesla forum know anybody who had a deposit?

They haven't even delivered a single bed mounted range extender yet. They're 10k or so and 1k pounds added weight. Then add that the hitch is only rated for 160 pounds.

Offer me a Cybertruck at 50% discount and I still would NOT want to own one.

Very ugly blob of crap….

I'm dumbfounded that Musk would align himself - in a major public way - with a political party that tends to despise EVs.
And open himself up to being despised by many potential customers, by doing the same.
He must not be worried about stockholders getting upset.
