An article from torque news is saying (sales indicate this already) that many reservation holders of the Cybertruck are not taking delivery of their vehicle. This is after Musk still claims that there is huge demand for the Cybertruck.
Cybertruck reservations not turning into sales

Before a couple of the Tesla is better than everything else posters jump in. This is really revealing as Musk keeps going on about how "sold out" the Cybertruck is.

Couple of thoughts:

Like mentioned, other manufactures came to market with their version, mainly Ford

First hand non biased reviews are out now and some may feel the overall quality is poor, esp for the price.

The EV hype is lessening it seems, I could be wrong, just my take.

It'd be interesting to know the reason. I'd be willing to bet that some of it is because the kind of target market for the cyber truck are probably also the type of people that will despise Musk for what he has become recently. Specially on twitter. Not to mention the awful build quality of their vehicles as well. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Saw one yesterday. That's one ugly truck. Hook up a travel trailer-and you are probably looking at a 100 miles of range.

From google-

The Tesla Cybertruck has an estimated towing range of up to 11,000 lbs and 340 miles, but real-world towing range can vary depending on conditions. For example, one test found that the Cybertruck could tow 115 miles with a medium weight load and aerodynamic load, but only 87 miles when using 75% of the battery capacity. While a third test towing a 5,600 lb travel trailer in temperatures between 48–58°F resulted in a range of 92 miles.

Not a great truck for doing "truck stuff".

That's what gets me. The Cybertruck build quality is not bad but abysmal. The issues owners are having are things that should have been caught while testing. How can you trust a company when the CEO keeps saying that the Cybertruck has huge demand. Musk should just say "I screwed up the Cybertruck is junk." There all better but no.

A Ridgeline or Maverick are more of a truck than the Cyber "truck".

We're all going to be riding around in Robotaxis by November

I'm sure I'll still be getting a Waymo to the airport by the end of the year...

The model x tows the same load and goes further on a charge.

At least one thing that hopefully will happen. Apparently California Regulators are allowing a class action lawsuit against Tesla over their "Fully Autonomous" remarks. Sounds like a number of Tesla customers want their money back. Musk tweeted in 2018 that "Tesla has solved full autonomous driving." I still can't believe that he's unveiling a "Robotaxi ". You would think the engineers would have smacked him and told him to wake up.....

How can you trust companies that went to Washington...hat in hand....begging for 'bailouts' and whose products constantly have recalls and can't even compete with the Koreans let alone the Japanese.....and yet Mary Barra is paid like she was doing a great job.

I am not a fan of 'electric vehicles' (because we're not set up properly for them yet....in fact our electric grid is challenged to keep up with air conditioning etc...)......but....if Elon Musk made an ICE sedan I'm sure it would be better than what the domestics are giving us....in fact they don't really sell sedans anymore because they can't compete.

Give me a break. The domestics don't have a class action lawsuit for engine failures or major engine failures in their pickups like the Koreans or Japanese.

I'm not defending but I'm hoping people don't think it comes with special physics laws, because it still takes BTUs/energy to move weight. My gas F150 doesn't do much better for range when pulling our 7K tow hauler, I have the 26gal tank.

The domestics have plenty of class action lawsuits....I'd take a Toyota over any domestic and I'm not talking about a pickup truck.

Cybertruck reservations not turning into sales

Before a couple of the Tesla is better than everything else posters jump in. This is really revealing as Musk keeps going on about how "sold out" the Cybertruck is.

"In the first few months of Cybertruck deliveries, getting an email from Tesla inviting you to configure a Cybertruck felt like a gift. However, fast-forward a few months, and it appears Tesla is running out of people to sell a Cybertruck to.

Lupe Marquez shared on Facebook that he reserved a Cybertruck only two months ago, which means this June. However, he says he has already received an email from Tesla inviting him to configure his Foundation Series Cybertruck.

Lupe writes, “Is Tesla desperate for buyers? I barely submitted the reservation order two months ago and have already gotten the invite.” Below, Lupe shares the email he received from Tesla titled “Your Foundation Series Cybertruck is ready for delivery.”

This is surprising since, for the first few months of Cybertruck deliveries, Tesla was exclusively working on delivering Cybertrucks to first-day reservation holders.

Fast-forward a couple of months, Tesla has already run through the first two years of Cybertruck reservation holders, and people who reserved a Cybertruck at the end of 2021 are getting the invite.

Last week, we started to see people who had reserved a Cybertruck by the end of 2023 getting an email from Tesla. Now, Tesla has worked through almost the entire Cybertruck reservation backlog, and people who reserved a Cybertruck this June are starting to get the invite.

At this point, you might be wondering: if there are a million Cybertruck reservation holders, why are people who reserved their Cybertruck only a couple of months ago getting the invite?

The only explanation here is that Tesla is having trouble converting Cybertruck reservation holders into buyers. In our opinion, the biggest reason for the less-than-expected sales is the issue of cost and range."
This comes as no surprise
