On or about 1995 we purchased a telescoping flagpole from a company called UncommonUSAflagpoles. It was great quality and worked exceptionally well. If I remember correctly , we paid about $100 USD for the telescoping flagpole.

Decided to buy a flagpole for our current home. Happy to find out UncommonUSA is still in business, and located in Willmar, MN. I believe Uncommon is the manufacturer of the flagpoles, also in Willmar, MN.

Price of the flagpoles have significantly increased. These now sell in the $500-$600 USD range. If the quality is as good as they were in 1995, the price is still a good value, as these poles can last for decades.

That is really nice and would be a great solution for hurricane prone FL. Thanks for posting that, I should probably get one

I simply used iron pipe in 2 ten foot sections, and painted it white, with a loop of paracord thorough a few stainless eyes to hoist the flag. Not quite so classy or polished, I left a pirate flag up in defiance :ROFLMAO: during one of the mild hurricanes and it did bend the pipe. Used the hydraulic press to straighten it out.

We use to hang very large hanging flower baskets at our homes. We moved often, so I was always installing new hanging basket mounts.

What I used instead of the cheap aluminum poles, or the hooks that could only be mounted at a joist, was natural gas black pipe. Natural gas pipe is very inexpensive, super strong, and with threaded ends I could make a run along the entire run of the front or rear of the home. Simply attached the pipe at the joists. Allowed confident hanging of the baskets anywhere my wife wanted. Only TTP is to use never seize on the threads, in case one wants to remove the pipe at a later time.

We have the same flagpole. We purchased our back in 2015. It's nice to be able to collapse it when the weather is getting bad. Unfortunately, I can't remember what we paid for it then.
