I currently have a double dose in my gas tank. That would give it 130 concentration of PEA compared to BG 44K 208 having 151 PEA, or Pulse GT Gasoline Power Cleaner having 208 PEA

I got those ^ PEA concentration #s from here.

The Techron Complete bottle says it can thicken motor oil and recommends changing oil after running a tank of gas with Techron Complete in it. What's that about? Does it really thicken oil enough to be a concern? Does it degrade oil lubrication?

I have 4 cars. 3 cars are due for an oil change in July, which would mean using about 1 to 2 more tanks of gas before changing oil. The 4th car (my mom's Prius) isn't due for an oil change for another year.

How important is it to change oil soon after using a tank of gas with Techron Complete in it? In my case, a double dose x2 concentration of it.

Does anyone think a double dose x2 concentration of Techron Complete will clean injectors or anything else?

It's on sale at NAPA. So I thought I'd try it, but I don't know if it will accomplish anything.

I’ve never heard that FSC’s(Techron) will thicken the oil. However I have heard that it may dilute or pollute the oil especially during lots of short trip type of driving…less than 5 miles. But used as directed, you should be fine. Using too often may not be the best thing to do but I don’t think that an occasional overdose will hurt. Use good judgment!

I hadn't heard of this either, so did some digging and came up with nothing.

I would think instead of using twice the dose in one tank, it would be more beneficial to use as directed in a tank, let that work for a while (500-1000 miles or so), then maybe run another tank and change the oil, as some freed contaminants may have bypassed the rings and gotten into the oil.

It will be fine. I’ve run double doses before with no issue. If it makes you feel better, use the opportunity for some high revving acceleration etc. Any nice big hills near you?

Techron is my go to fuel additive and I wouldn't risk going too long without changing the oil. It's not worth taking a chance of trying to clean up the fuel system then worry about contamination of the oil.

You may find some helpful information in these similar threads:

I normally use Shell or U76 gas due to convenient locations near my home.

Should I be using Chevron or Safeway/Albertson gas when I have a bottle of Techron Complete in the tank?

The nearest Chevron station is only 2 miles farther away. Safeway gas is only 1.5 miles farther away.

Does not matter who's gas you use as long as it's with your vehicle spec. Techron works well, istrusted and verified many times.

Gasoline brand doesn't matter... as long as it's Top Tier.
So mixing Chevron Techron Complete's additives into Shell gas won't cause an additive conflict? Are they the same additives or compatible additives?

I ask because I have a lot of gas discount points built-up at Shell. Enough to get $1 off per gallon.

Huge difference between a relatively small quantity of fuel additives compared to engine oil additives where everything has to live together, and get along, over many months and miles.

Shell is my go-to gasoline. I wouldn't hesitate to use Techron in it (and probably did when I had the Audi).

The link in OP doesn't work. Here it is:

Out of curiosity you say you have 3 cars that need an oil change soon. Pretty sure you've said before that you don't drive. Are you renting the cars out?
I don't drive a car, but I drive a mobility scooter and I own 1 car and maintain 4 cars (with my cousin's help).

1 is my Buick that my cousins, friends, and caregivers use to drive me to doctor, dentist, out to eat, etc.

2 is my mom's Prius.

3 & 4 are my caregivers/neighbors Hyundai Elantra and Honda CRV. I pay for their maintenance as a bonus to their pay to help them. It's a tax free bonus for them, but better because they benefit from me paying their car maintenance bills and they benefit from know how provided by me, my cousin, and BITOG members.

I like this because I know their bonus is spent on useful, practical things they need, and not gameboxes or other tripe they don't need. Dad vibes there.
