Fairly open question here, what are say 3 things that you KNOW about oil right now. This can be from this site, personal knowledge, or research. I will also ask the converse, what are 3 things you DO NOT KNOW about oil right now.

1. I KNOW cars almost never suffer from oil problems if the oil does not run low or out.

2. I KNOW that the oil spec'd for my car is good for all driving conditions, I don't need fancy/different oils, even if i am doing a alot of highway driving...etc...

3. I know oils last longer in service than we even think they should here - almost all oils will go 6-7k miles safetly, not just 5k.

1. I DO NOT know if we will have SN-spec oils that are 100% dino - they may all have to be syn-blends.

2. I DO NOT know if someday soon, engine oil will become like a lot of ATF fills - for life.

3. I DO NOT know if someday soon, DIY oil changing will be outlawed in the name of 'environmental protection'...I feel it may be.

I DO know there is no bad oil these days.

I DO know that most using synthetics don't utilize them to their fullest potential.

I DO know I value dnewton's opinion very much.

I DON'T know if I can stop using synthetic oil in my truck even though I am wasting it,

I DON'T know how to read UOA's effectively yet!!! After 6 years here!!!!

I DON'T know when Bror Jace returned but am glad he did.

I don't know which oil is best.

I KNOW:
1- Dino will work great, yet I still must use synthetic for the rest of my life.
2- People have VERY strong feelings towards there oil brand.
3- I, like most here are waiting for the GF-5 spec to come out!

I DON'T KNOW:
1- Why there are no get-togethers of BITOG users.
2- How BITOG was started.
3- Who Bob is.
