T-Mobile cell plans

I am currently on the old T-Mobile prepaid plan where I was able to roll over my minutes for an entire year by adding $10.00 (I am a very light talk user). My anniversary date is coming up next week, and I currently have $50.87 in my account. From what I can tell, prepaid T-Mobile now has a $3.00/month minimum.

Does anyone know whether I can use that remaining $50.87 toward that $3.00 monthly charge (or if I were to move to a post-paid plan)?

By the way, my wife is on the $35.00/mo unlimited talk/text prepaid plan, and daughter is on the $30.00/mo for 1,500 min/texts. So, I'd be open to any attractive family deals. We all own T-Mobile GSM phones.

I like and use T-Mobile, have unlimited everything on 3 lines, cost is $140 a month. We're heavy data users so those MVNO type operators aren't going to cut it.

Who is the carrier for Ting, Consumer Cellular and Republic? Are any of theses airwaves using Verizon or ATT signals?

I thought they had 4 lines unlimited for 100$ now?

Sprint is what I'm dropping. They have terrible, actually no coverage, in rural areas where both Verizon and ATT phones work just fine/ crystal clear signals.

Sprint is fine, for as long as we are near a major city. Get in the suburbs and we sit there with our phones at our ears, pleading and begging for coverage.

Never again Sprint. You are about to become history with me.

Consumer Cellular (my provider)....uses ATT lines. I haven't had any issues and am paying $25 plus taxes, for 600 minutes talk, 200 text, and 5 gigs data.

Can be adjusted up or down depending on your use. They e-mail you when you get near your limits

you may want to check. but I found out t-mobile pay as you go will NOT have a $3 per month minimum if you are grandfathered in.

this article is from last August, so I don't know if anything has changed since then.

I discovered that I am indeed grandfathered! I love simply topping off for $10 and getting my minutes rolled over for another year.
