I switched AMSOIL last winter. And I change to regular oil in spring. I got oil leak on same day. I tighten oil pan gasket again. No leaks So far.

I want to change to AMSOIL again. Can I expect oil leak again?

1, 1, 1, and two cars with less than 100k miles where a leak developed within 5k miles of switching to synthetic (redline in one case, GC in the other).

EDIT: sorry, the 2 last cases weren't switching from petroleum to synth, i meant to say switching from M1 to redline and GC.

#3

(Qualified: switched to synthetic at about 110,000 miles, now at 255,000, so that's over 140,000 miles on synthetic (Red Line). Comments: had minor seepage from oil pan gasket before switch and had already replaced both main oil seals. All were changed later. After head gasket failure at 240K miles, valve stem and camshaft oil seals were replaced while head was off. Car uses/loses no oil.)
