Syn blends-pretty much more SYN?

I simply couldn't help myself...because at 9.99/5qt jug, I couldn't turn down an oil..

Anyways, I picked up a few jugs of Service Pro syn blend in the 5w30, and slightly in debate in what I should do with them (Throw in in the Cobalt with a puro classic for 5k, or use it to change other's cars)

Since it seems some of the other blends are at least 50% synthetic (motorcraft, for example), how safe could one assume that SP's blend would be at 50%?


Besides, for a beater, the Cobalt is pretty spoiled getting synthetic for it's oil changes....(and has had nothing but for the last 33k I've owned it.....)

I wouldn't assume anything unless the oil company sent you their formula and I doubt that will happen.

Several? What about the mid west/great lakes area?


This concerns me because the the oils themselves could be different...

Put it in the Cobalt and forget about it - you would be good for a 5k OCI.

I don't know about who gets what or where. We are a bulk oil lubricants packager and distributor, and Service Pro is our biggest seller. We have ordered bulk oil and atf from two different manufacturers that I know of, and both make quality products. All Service Pro products are high quality.
