Okay cool. At first I thought you were referring to some time stamps in a video.

I see tarnish on the dip stick.
I don't think penzoil cleans any better than others.
I want a oil that meets the Chrysler spec.
Was thinking of switching to quacker state 5w 20 ultimate derability.
Any reason not too.

What are your driving habits? City?.... Mix?...... Highway?
Consider moving up to 5W30. Other alternatives are Castrol Edge, Valvoline Advanced and Mobil-1 EP.

*You may want to cut your OCI down to 5K to 6K miles max unless you solely drive interstates .

Mostly city but go by the jeep oil change monitor

You can try a high mileage oil since they are jam-packed with detergent. Only problem is that you can't stop using high mileage oil due to their gasket swelling additives, and I don't know if any are Chrysler certified. I know Royal Purple API SN oil is Chrysler certified and has loads of detergent.

Btw, the dipstick on my Corvette's LS1 has varnish in the middle where the tube is closest to the exhaust manifold. The heads are clean. If your dipstick tube is installed close to exhaust piping, their will be varnish on it due to drastically hotter temperatures.

Is the tarnish on the end of the stick where the oil level is indicated ? If so, I'd suggest adding about 16 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil to your oil 500 miles prior to each oil change and depending on driving conditions, possibly reducing the oil change interval a bit. The Quaker State oil should be fine.

No high milage oil for me.
I will shorten the O.C.I. by a few thousand and may switch from PP to PUP for 2 bucks more.
