I have a 2010 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi and it is about to roll over 100K. I purchased it used with 36K on it and have always used full synthetic oils in it. Used RP for a long time, but have been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance and Pennzoil UltraP with a Fram Ultra since discovering BITOG. Wal-Mart has dropped PUP from their shelves here and I have used through what I had stocked up of it. I figured before I stocked up on some Mobil 1 Extended Performance, I would ask if I should consider switching to a High Mileage full synthetic? My truck has never had a major mechanical issue, has zero leaks, and if it consumes any oil it is not noticeable as the oil level never leaves the "Safe" zone on the dipstick. Would there be any benefits to switching or should I just keep doing what I am doing? I've never kept a truck beyond 100K, but after doing some car shopping over the last month and seeing the prices of new and used trucks right now, I am thinking I am going to be riding this one out until the wheels fall off. No car payment is much more fun.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Also, sorry if this topic has been covered a lot. I have tried searching through the pages, myself and using the search function, and I wasn't doing very good.
