This was in use on my 2016 Ford F-250 with a 6.2 gas for 6,042 miles and 155 hours. There was 31 idle hours. Oil was Schaeffer 9000 5w30 and a pint of 132 oil treatment. I was at 19% on the OLM.

Back in was the same oil and treatment with a Microgard MSL51372

I still can't believe that put that small of an oil filter on the big engine. I would be changing the filter all the time.

Still a Champ Labs made filter? I like the flats cut on the end cap facing the base end. Any date code on the filter?

I will have to check my stash, the one I cut is long gone but I have a couple more that were bought at the same time. That should get us close on age.

That filter is def full. 3,400 miles max.
What are you seeing that says it’s “full”? I squeezed the section of media in a vice that’s pictured so I could see what was buried in the folds. It honestly looked clean to me.

Unlike most ST, this one Fram fiber endcap based construction. Seems the 'relatively' larger Supertech use Fram, others Champ Labs. What I can see, looks like the Supertech got the job done at ~6k miles.

Thanks for c&p.

I don’t understand why everyone is freaking out about the size of a filter. If we don’t know the holding capacity of said filter, we can’t really make any conclusions.

Just to clarify, those of you saying there’s not enough media realize I only cut and spread out about half of it right?
Yes I do, not sure about others. I really don't like to see filters with the wide spacing. It's an indication that it's lacking filter material (there's room for more) and it introduces stress concentration because it's uneven. I've seen filters tear at these areas of wide spacing.

After dissecting many other filters from my Mazda (listed in signature below), mostly basic Purolator and Purolator-made private-label brands, the only torn media I ever saw was in a SuperTech that had extra-wide spacing at the splice.
