. Here is a 2016 F-250 Super Duty pickup with the 6.2 v-8 engine oil filter from factory. Oil and filter had 5,000 miles on them. Friends new truck as he trailers horses to shows and such. FRAM ultra he supplied and MC Blend 5w20 in and on. Looks ok to me.

Who makes that filter? I like all those round holes in the center tube and the media looks very strait also. I also noticed there were nicer threads on the baseplate Not like the aftermarket Motorcrafts..
This looks like a nice filter from what i could see. I probably would use one of those but i won't be using the motorcraft 820-s any longer i will be using the ultra.

Looks like a solid filter.

On a related note, Ford has changed the spec for the 6.2 to 5w30....might want to let your friend know.

Based upon what I have seen with the FoMoCo labeled OEM filters in the past year, they are Champ made (not WIX). This one also **appears** to be Champ made.

I sure hope so since I just removed one with 9500 miles on it. Except it's an 822 fomoco filter. The dealer didn't have the 836 but they said the 822 will fit. Plus it's longer than the 836. The threads look nice.

From what I could tell I think 8/2015. I put it in a plastic baggy with a paper towel and it keeps sopping up the drippings. Pretty heavy filter.

For clarification, I am only talking about the OEM factory installed filters. Anything purchased at retail including a Ford dealer will be a Purolator (M&H) made filter.
