I wouldn't run a 20 grade oil personally, especially from Warren oil, but it's a BITOG favorite for sure, and you'll be hard pressed to find people who will admit to issues running it here. I suspect there are some issues but you won't find people admitting to them.

If you do a search, you'll find some good threads.

Why not use Supertech for everything?

Here's a link to the SuperTech PDS. 12% Noack. Yeah, no thanks.

I have used their High Mileage Full Synthetic 5w30 several times in several applications without issue. I am not a xw20 fan, so can't comment.

I believe less than 15% meets spec for SP rated oil (ASuperTechM D5800.) Not sure for SQ. Why 12% is an issue? I ask because a lot of other oils don't even publish it. Valvoline just says less than 15%. Any oil meeting SP/SQ should be less than 15%.

I think AMSOIL OE is like 11%, so......

Really?
2 bottles of Amsoil OE (before taxes and shipping) cost more than a 5 qt jug of Super Tech.
You’re the only one making the comparison. I didn’t. Somehow you made this straw man when I only brought up Noack. 12% is high.

If you want Supertech, then buy that. Those of us who want better will get what we pay for.

I was saying that Valvoline Restore and Protect and so many other Valvoline oils have Noack of <15% and they are not necessary worse than Supertech with lower 12% Noack.

There are those of us that seek HTHS.
We're not the ones looking at a cleaning ILSAC oil. Can't we all get along?
I'm surprised this comparison/topic has gone on as long as it has to be honest.
