How did you write on the oil soaked filter? Or did you write on it before removing it?
DONT KNOW. Schwinney probably wrote in fikter before installing. Waiting on Schwinney to answer your questions
Had to have been written on with Sharpie before any oil was on the can.
Actually folks.. since there is a removed date, this shows us that the writing happened AFTER the filter was removed.

Sharpies are just that good, some good old fashioned paper towels to remove the oil residue, and the ST white can is perhaps my favorite filter.

The Frams cost about a dollar more but, not sure that extra cost is justified.

Engine seems healthy based on what we see here.

Schwinney: please tell Kira you wrote in fikter before installing it. Unless they’re making a water, and oil proof marker

Thank You

Howdy fellas! Don't laugh....the reason I asked was total amazement that a Sharpie could write through a coating (even wiped with a rag) of oil.
Sharpies (a great pen) are better than I ever thought.

Anyone remember the broad, black ink pens which could write through frost on frozen food packages? THAT'S magic too.

Before my right hip replacement (not 7 weeks ago), the surgeon came in and autographed my haunch with a black Sharpie-like pen. I asked him if it was a Sharpie and he laughed. I assume it was some marker with a benign ink.
