I do not make assumptions. I look at the data and have worked in the field so can safely make that statement.Assumptions and generalizations prove nothing but the ignorance of those who use them.

I'd like to see that data please.I do not make assumptions. I look at the data and have worked in the field so can safely make that statement.
If it really didn't bother you then somehow I doubt you'd be posting here as you do.You have no idea of the audience to make that statement. If it annoys you you might want to look hard at yourself with your justification for adults with poor decision skills consuming a mind altering drug.
I do not recommend drinking or using any mind altering drug that kills brain cells and livers. Bad habit. Whisky drinkers are almost always alcoholics. It might be legal but it is a drug and and in some cases worse than heroin. If you choose to not take my advice then go right ahead. It does not annoy or bother me in the least as long as I don't have to share the road with you.

Different strokes for different folks. All of us have different life experiences and genes. All points well noted! You sound like 10 year old that has no idea of the real world.
People can do what they want.
Same as the fast food threads, always people jumping in.Why is it that teetotalers always have to interject with this advice? its like vegans always announcing to to the world that they are vegans. OP is an adult, and alcohol is legal and can be enjoyed in moderation and resposibly. That holier than thou bs is annoying and completely uneeded.
Funny, those are almost the exact words of a hard core alcoholic that I hear over and over trying to justify their drinking. You sound like 10 year old that has no idea of the real world.

Your statement is false. First alcohol does not kill brain cells. If abused it CAN damage the neuron ends that transmit electrial signals between nerve cells. While heavy alcohol use does damage the liver so does acetaminophen, and many other drugs but when used moderately alcohol does not cause permanent damage to the liver, which is one of the few organs that regenrates. The generalization you made that whiskey drinkers are alcoholics is an abusurd generalization based on myth and hysteria. Finally I said responsibly, I didnt say go pound a bottle of wild turkey and go for a drive did I? There is nothing wrong with having a drink in your own home or a glass of wine with dinner. Again I stated in moderation and responsibly, yes there are people that cant handle alcohol, but the majority of ADULTS can and do enjoy alcohol responsibly and in moderation. Stop trying to dictate other peoples life choices with falicies and hysteria. You have no idea of the audience to make that statement. If it annoys you you might want to look hard at yourself with your justification for adults with poor decision skills consuming a mind altering drug.

Don't you just hate it when someone blathers on the same thing over and over again?Funny, those are almost the exact words of a hard core alcoholic that I hear over and over trying to justify their drinking.
Speaking of hard core alcoholics, I'm told that you can just store your whiskey in the freezer, it won't freeze as it as a lower freezing point than water.Funny, those are almost the exact words of a hard core alcoholic that I hear over and over trying to justify their drinking.
Drink less and buy Oban. It’s a well rounded Single Malt Whisky.I'm looking for a whiskey for casual drinking without mixing it with anything. I'd like to stay under $25/bottle.
As a beginner, I've tried "regular" Jack Daniels and the "rye" Jack Daniels (https://www.thewhiskeyshelf.com/jack-daniels-tennessee-rye-review/). I liked the rye version better than the regular Jack Daniels, but they're still awfully "raspy" is you ask me.
I've tried regular Canadian Club and that was certainly better than either of the Jack Daniels, but I'm still looking.
I've read a lot of online reviews, but I thought I'd rather ask you all...I value your opinion more.

I keep my bottle of Fireball in the freezer along with a bottle of Limoncello. They don't freeze. That stuff tastes better very, very cold.Speaking of hard core alcoholics, I'm told that you can just store your whiskey in the freezer, it won't freeze as it as a lower freezing point than water.
I just remember an alcoholic trying to sell me his refrigerator once, said the freezer worked great, kept his Jack cold.I keep my bottle of Fireball in the freezer along with a bottle of Limoncello. They don't freeze. That stuff tastes better very, very cold.
