Subaru Outback for Towing?

I'd suggest visiting a Subaru Outback forum and seeing what they say. I will say this kind of setup is ideal as you can get it quite level on trailer and balanced. I can't offer much except to saw my wife's coworker used a CrossTrek and Forester with CVT to tow to launch and tow a small sailboat. I think they were around 1500 lbs with it.
