My 5th Subaru is the first with eyesight. Didn't get it on my last two bc I was just really anti-eyesight. Now its standard.
I must say I am impressed. Above 35 mph it will keep you within the lines unless the turn is too sharp. In cruise it is engaged at any speed. Automatic breaking is engaged at 35 mph...that includes for a pedestrian. Backing up its always engaged. I was backing up a very steep driveway and it slammed on the brakes. Also in cruise you have the ability to set distance behind a vehicle. If you catch up it will slow down or brake as necessary.
Not eyesight but I dislike the automatic engine stop/start. It can be disabled, but you have to disable it every time you start the engine. The other feature I like is when you stop you can remove your foot from the brake and when you give it gas it releases the brakes. My wife is intimidated by the features and prefers her '18 forester.
