Does it meet the Ford spec for PSD?
Not sure. Here are some approvals. ( not that they approve the OCI.)

I have always been amazed at people changing the oil at 3k or 5k. Had a 1995 Toyota Camry v6 ran Mobil 1 synthetic 10K oil changes at 200k my front valve cover started to leak when I took the cover off the inside looked brand new. Car never burned a drop of oil. Now I run Mobil 1 in my 2015 F150 and using Mobil ! EP 20K have 80,000 so far and no problems. Do you know how often 20 million dollar jet engines get the oil changed?
For your first post, you sure didn't make a good impression.

To each his own. We all know the 3000 mile oil change is usually a waste. I'm comfortable with OCI of 5000 to 7500 miles for my vehicles. 10000 miles is 16000 kilometers and personally unless I was doing a cross country trip with mostly highway miles, I would probably go nuts leaving oil in the crankcase for that long!

I change the oil on our cars. Had a 2008 Cobalt that was short tripped through winter, I had put in PP 5W-30 in the fall. Changed the oil in April at after about 2500 miles, the oil filter was so sludged, it had collapsed.
KIA and Hyundai require 3,750 mile OCI in Canada in order to maintain warranty.
They add a supplemental manual to cover the requirements for Canada.

Do YOU know how often jet engines get their oil changed?

Or the type of oil they use and the size of their sumps?

Or the COST of an oil service?

Or the rate of oil consumption?
In Tokyo early this year I watched a tech open the port on a GE90 … he had a little box of MobilJet ester stuff … pulls out little bottles and topped the engine. Now I feel connected to that moment and will do less to care for my over priced Jeep …

The fact that the OP just stopped, dropped and ran tells you all you need to know about the seriousness of this thread.
I don‘t even understand his points. The 3k oil change business has faded … in fact, when I (unplanned) used Jiffy early this year they asked me what OCI to put on the reminder. I have FCA, Ford, and GM products and the OLM’s and OM’s take you 7k-9k … So, the carmaker‘s numbers …

Crazy post. My .02 is last time I checked it’s still a free country, do what you think is right. Changing oil too early = throwing away money, good chance of zero sludge.
Extended oil changes = costs are contained but what are the consequences to your engine?
Many people here go 10k oil changes with absolutely no detriment to their engine, pictures don’t lie and many of these members back it up with UOAs. In the end, who cares?
I fall in the middle: 5k ought to do it with quality oil (which is whole another debate) and OEM filters.
Well that takes care of my .02....

I’d never go over 5K I never go over 3K with conventional no matter what the owners manual or manufacturer says. I don’t know of many people that do. When I worked up at the dealership they told me I was crazy for changing synthetic at 5000 but everyone does what works for them and that’s totally fine.

I work with the wife of a "senior mechanic" at the local dodge Dealer...he always changes the oil in her caravan @ 3k mi, with full Synthetic.
even if they're driving it cross country on vacation (she won't fly, or get on a boat, and wants to visit all the states sans Hawaii , cuz, cant drive there)
if it hits the next 3k mi interval, he'll change it at the next dodge dealer they see.

in a Couple years, when he retires, they're going to drive the Al-Can to/from Alaska.

I know a worker at a quick lube place, they save the 3K and 5K oils to use in their cars, and do 3 or 4 changes per filter. He drives about 300 miles a week, and appreciates the savings. His car has 300K Plus

You mean they keep the used oil from customers (I'm guessing customers that religiously change at 3-5k) and use it on their vehicles?

If they are comfortable doing that, why not it's good for the environment.

I've heard of folks putting used vehicle oil into their lawn equipment, but never their own cars. Hope none of it has coolant or transmission fluid in it.
