My next delivery of Stelo is being shipped. I have been on auto-ship since Nov. 2025
Since Nov I have been wearing them non stop. Wow! What a great experience, learning how foods interacts with your body and all the bad crap we are eating such as refined wheat products, actually all wheat products.
Anyway, it has been a great help and for those who REALLY want to live a longer, better, more informed life and at the crossroads of insulin resistance, pre diabetes or type 2 that truly want to learn and do something about it I highly recommend it.
Actually with this technology, it makes the journey more simple and for me, kept me motivated to put up a road block crossing over from pre diabetes into type 2 diabetes. Just in time. My weight out of control from cancer treatment in 2025, it was time to get healthy again, also during 2025 my fasting blood sugar for the first time in my life blew right by into heavy pre-diabetes.
The cost is pennies to me, for all the money I will save on drugs, heart ache and medical bills as I age. Also on food. I have pretty much, within reason eliminated all wheat products from my life, many starches I have limited, I never drink anything but water ... and very limited occasional beer or glass of wine. I actually get excited about making a big green salad with some walnuts, tomatoes, even some cheese or turkey thrown in at times for dinner. Gone from my desires are buns, bread, cake type deserts, any kind of sugar, fructose artificial sweeteners, my wife and I have completely eliminated snack foods like potato chips and such// but still on special occasions, family events, friends we will put them out, walnuts and cashews have replaced them.. .. Love my new way of eating and anytime I might be bad... right on my cell phone or my Apple Watch is my blood glucose level to show me. Weak spot which I dont think of as weak ... Saturday nights out with my wife is always a dinner in a restaurant... I will avoid the real nasty stuff, but I always have, still I will enjoy the meals I always have for that night.
Also motivating after learning about this device from @Donald there is another thread in here (Type 2 diabetes) of some enthusiasts one of which has type 2 and really brought his blood sugar down into normal territory created that thread. Must be over 12 pages of civil discussion, informative as far as videos, books, this device and another. Learning all this stuff can help greatly in discussions with your doctor. You may even impress him otherwise possibly find someone more specialized in your desire to get your act together for a healthy lifestyle. It's not just you. Much of entire population is now metabolically unfit. Just look at the lines outside of fast food places, never mind all the fried garbage being offered on sugar laden buns with sugar laden dressings.
Ok, enough said, anyway, my next shipment is on it way AND I am certainly without question, eating better than I ever did in which most my life I ate far better than most Americans. I havent had food from a fast food place well over 10 years and back then if I did? it was a once a month or more thing. I always ate a lot of fruit, thing I learned is yeah, fruit is carbs but better managed by your body, anyway, I cut back to a serving or two at the most a day.
Oh, ok so what I was saying ... the point of this long rant is after I get my next shipment I will stop and put my auto delivery Stelo account on hold for the summer. It will be 5+months of wearing the monitor and I know what I can and can't eat, I'll have enough devices for the next 6 weeks. Those next 6 weeks I hope to shave off another 25 lbs from my disaster last year in 2025.
We do a lot of water activities in the summer, even though these devices are water proof up to around 6 feet or so I wont have to worry about it and have taken this journey as far as I want right now. Come next fall I will get them again for a few months, make sure I am still on track. In-between those times I will still do a finger prick now and then to check blood sugar. I still have boatloads of doctor appointments this year for follow up on what seems successful prostate cancer treatment in 2025.
Thanks to the threads in here and the books, videos I watched, I can have my doctors add extra tests not normally ordered that I would like to existing blood draws that they order. Win win.
Anyone interested you dont need a life long commitment to use these devices, you can just buy two, you do not have to have auto delivery. My experience has been flawless, others have had issues. I use the latest updated iPhone app.
Before placing it on my arm I extensively rub the area down with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil from your skin, I mount it on the inside of my arm instead of the outside and I use an additional adhesive patch to prevent it from falling off over time.
I doubt you have to do the additional patch if your just trying it out... but this is the one I use in the second link, I never had a sensor come off or stop working before its 15 day expiration time.
